Why HVFP exists

Over time, Harry saw thoughtful, capable individuals feeling uncertain when making important financial decisions. Not because they lacked intelligence, but because the guidance available to them was often broad and impersonal.

Harry Vekria
Director & Chartered Financial Planner
Harry Vekria is the founder and director of HV Financial Planning. A Chartered Financial Planner with over 30 years of experience, Harry graduated from the University of East Anglia and has spent his career helping individuals, families, and business owners make thoughtful financial decisions.
The Chartered Financial Planner designation represents the highest level of qualification in financial planning in the UK — a recognition of both professional standing and ongoing commitment to the highest standards of practice.
Harry's approach is built on patience and genuine understanding. He believes that the best outcomes come when people feel heard, informed, and confident in the decisions they make. His conversations are calm, considered, and always focused on what matters to you.
Alpa
Certificate in Financial Planning (MP)
Before achieving a Certificate in Financial Planning (MP), Alpa began her career in a different field, where she developed many of the skills that continue to shape her work ethic today — listening carefully, communicating clearly, and understanding what truly matters to people before offering guidance. That perspective shapes the way she works and the relationships she builds with clients.
Above all Alpa is a mother to her little daughter. The way the business is structured allows her to be fully present with her family, from everyday routines to important milestones and unexpected moments. Balancing family and work is intentional and central to how she lives and works and she values being part of a firm that recognises the importance of a healthy balance between professional commitment and family life.
Bhanu
Certificate in Financial Planning
Bhanu has worked in the profession for over 20 years and is proud to be part of the team at HV Financial Planning Ltd. It is a friendly, close-knit environment, and he genuinely enjoys being part of a team that supports one another and always aims to do the right thing for clients.
He holds a Certificate in Financial Planning, but most of what he has learned over the years has come from hands-on experience. He learns best by being involved, working through real situations, and building relationships with the people he helps.
Strong ethics and high moral standards are central to how Bhanu works. He believes in being honest, fair, and approachable, and naturally cares about looking after others. Outside of work, family means everything to him, and he values having a role that gives him a healthy work-life balance — being present at home while still giving his best professionally.
In his spare time, Bhanu enjoys reading biographies of successful people — finding their journeys inspiring and full of lessons that apply to everyday life. He is also a keen sports fan and loves all sports, whether watching, following results, or getting involved whenever he can.
